The Sensitive Creative's Path
A nervous system that can stay in the room while you do the work. A creative practice that doesn't require you to dissociate from your own body to get anything done.
For artists, writers, voice actors, entrepreneurs, and anyone whose gifts come from a nervous system that feels everything. Five sessions to create without burning yourself down.
“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin. — Zechariah 4:10”
The creative nervous system is a specific kind of tired
If you're reading this, you probably already know. There's a kind of tired that comes from making things. It's not the same as regular exhaustion. It's the tired of walking around with half-formed ideas that won't leave you alone, of being vulnerable in public for money, of having to sell what came out of your body, of your worth feeling directly attached to something you have no final control over.
I've lived it. I built a voiceover career through Lyme, POTS, MCAS, and the rebuilding of an entire nervous system. I've recorded auditions from a bed. I've done sessions at 60% capacity. I've felt the specific shame of needing to rest after something other people did before breakfast. So when I say this path is built for the sensitive creative who also has a body that doesn't always cooperate, I mean it literally. It was written from inside that body.
What this path is and isn't
This is not a hustle path. It's not a productivity path. It's not a get-more-done path. If you want those, a million people sell them and none of them will fix the nervous system that's actually holding you back.
This path is five scripture tapping sessions for the specific fears that show up in creative work — being seen, being rejected, being imperfect, being overwhelmed, being at the edge of your capacity. Each session is short, and each one is designed to be used before the thing, during the thing, or after the thing. Session 3 is an audition reset. Session 5 is for the launch day you're dreading. Session 2 is for the day you got nothing done and you're spiraling about it.
The fear-of-being-seen problem
Creative people are often told our visibility fears are imposter syndrome. Sometimes that's true. Often it's something older. Often it's the nervous system remembering a moment when being seen wasn't safe — a classroom, a parent, a comment, an audition room. Your body hasn't forgotten. It's protecting you from what it thinks is about to happen again.
You don't need to shame your body into being braver. You need to tell it the truth with scripture, in your body, slowly. You hem me in behind and before. You lay your hand upon me. I'm not alone in the room. I never was.
Session 1 does that work.
Small beginnings
One of the verses I return to over and over when my capacity is smaller than my ambition is Zechariah 4:10: Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin. He rejoices. Not when it's finished. When it begins.
That verse kept me writing during the year I could only type for eleven minutes before my hands shook. It's the whole spine of Session 2. If you are building a creative life inside a limited body, this session is for you.
