The Story

I built this from inside the body

Not from a theory. Not from a clinic. From a life I almost lost, and a God who kept showing up in the slowest, kindest way.

Hi. I'm Maggie.

I'm a professional voice actor — my work shows up in broadcast campaigns for Google, Dodge Ram, Shopify, Disney, Adobe, PayPal, and a long list of brands I never expected would say yes. I was a featured healing voice on the Glorify app, where listeners started actively asking me to launch my own healing program. That request is the reason Selah Reset exists. They're the ones who gave me permission to stop treating this work like a side interest and start treating it like my calling.

But the part of my story that actually matters here is the part most people don't know.

I was bedridden. I used a cane. I nearly died more than once. I had Lyme disease, POTS, MCAS, and a body the medical world kept politely dismissing. I was told I was anxious, dramatic, a complicated patient. I had doctors who didn't believe me and doctors who did and had nothing to offer. I had a body that had learned to interpret itself as an enemy, and a brain reinforcing the interpretation every hour of every day.

What brought me back wasn't one thing. It was the slow, faithful layering of a lot of things: scripture, EFT tapping, nervous system regulation, brain retraining, targeted protocols, prayer, a husband who stayed, a community that kept showing up, and a God who refused to quit on me even in the seasons I wanted to quit on my body.

When I started tapping scripture into my body — literally speaking Psalm 103 while gently tapping through the EFT points — something shifted that I can only describe as a relational repair. Between me and my body. Between my nervous system and the idea that it was safe to be alive. Between what I knew about God in my head and what my body had been waiting, for years, to actually feel.

Selah Reset is the work that came out of that. I built it for the woman I was at my worst, and I built it for the woman you might be right now.

Why Selah

Selah (סֶלָה) is an ancient Hebrew word that appears 74 times in the Psalms. Scholars think it was a musical notation — a signal to pause, to let the music rest, to let the words sink in. It was the ancient equivalent of a deep breath in the middle of a hard song.

I love that the Bible has a word for pausing. I love that it's built into the rhythm of worship. And I love that the Psalms — which are full of actual human honesty, rage, grief, joy, and praise — use it the most. Selah is not avoidance. It's the breath that lets the truth land.

What this work actually is

Selah Reset is not a single modality. It's an integrative stack — scripture, EFT tapping, vagus nerve regulation, neuroplasticity, somatic work, and prayer — woven together for whole-person healing. The science and the Scripture are not separate in my experience. They confirm each other. Romans 12:2 was describing neuroplasticity two thousand years before the MRI existed, and the vagus nerve is the bridge between what God said about stillness and what your body does when it actually stops.

Every path, every tapping session, every free script on this site is rooted in specific Scripture. Nothing here is generic wellness content. Nothing here is spiritual bypassing. If you're in a hard body or a hard season, you can show up here exactly as you are, and nobody is going to shame you for it. That's a promise.

Who I built this for

Selah Reset serves people who share a core wound: the feeling that the world wasn't built for how they're wired. People who are not served by generic wellness. People who need someone who went through it and came out the other side with a framework that actually works.

Specifically, I built this for:

  • Chronic illness sufferers— Lyme, POTS, MCAS, autoimmune, long COVID, anyone who's been gaslit by medicine. You are not crazy. You are not exaggerating. I believe you.
  • Sensitive creative types— artists, writers, musicians, voice actors, empaths, and anyone whose nervous system feels everything. Your sensitivity is not a flaw. It's a feature.
  • Women in crisis or transition — grief, burnout, faith deconstruction, major life shifts. The kind of season where all the usual tools stop working.
  • People who love God and also love their body— and want to heal both at the same time, together, in the same room, without being asked to pick.

A word about faith

Selah Reset is unapologetically Christian. Scripture is the foundation. Jesus is the center. The Holy Spirit is doing the actual work of renewal — I'm just a voice actor with a tapping library pointing at what's already true.

EFT tapping is a tool, not a theology. I use it the way you might use journaling, or worship music, or walking in creation — as a body practice that helps you receive what God has already said. If you have questions about whether tapping is Christian, I wrote a real answer to that question on the blog. Read it. I'm not asking anyone to adopt anything they haven't thought through.

If you're not a Christian but the work is drawing you in, you're welcome here. I'm not going to pretend to be neutral about who I believe heals us. But I will meet you exactly where you are.

selah

The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.

Zephaniah 3:17
